Graduating with distinction from the University of the West of England having read for a degree and masters in Geography with Town and Country Planning, Andrew began working in the private sector across the South East and London in 2013. Following a move back to his native South West in 2015, Andrew joined Boon Brown as a planning consultant.
Andrew has a broad range of experience in the private sector working on a diversity of projects with an equally diverse range of clients across the South West, South East and London. This experience has ensured he can quickly identify key issues relating to any development and so provide a strategic overview on how best to achieve his clients’ objectives. Whatever the stage of development, Andrew can provide guidance through the planning system, identify potential barriers to development and give advice to overcome these barriers – ultimately seeking to achieve planning permission. Andrew also has experience negotiating the political aspects of planning and has worked with many parish councils, action groups, individuals and local councillors, seeking to gain local support for a proposed scheme.
Outside of work Andrew enjoys travelling and has spent many months working his way across the world including parts of Asia, North America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Hailing from Cornwall he is a keen rugby fan – both as a player and supporter – having played ever since he can remember. He also enjoys snowboarding, a pursuit he learned when living and working in the French Alps.
