Sam has extensive experience as a project architect working at all stages of design, from feasibility studies to site supervision. She has managed projects up to £50 million in value, leading small design teams on technically complex schemes.
Sam joined Boon Brown in January 2017, attracted by the range of work, and especially the opportunity of going straight into a live project – plots 202b-203 of London & Quadrant’s ambitious Barking Riverside scheme.
Sam’s background majors in healthcare and health centres, and she has worked on a number of heritage projects, sensitively renovating and remodelling Grade 1 listed buildings for uses in the 21st century. She considers sustainability in all projects, across the development site as well as in the buildings, and focuses on a structure’s fabric efficiency rather than just its embedded carbon.
Sam believes many architects have art in their make-up, and she herself has completed an MA in Fine Art at Canterbury.
