Abigail joined Boon Brown in 2011 following completion of her degree in Architecture from Liverpool University. Since then, she has completed her professional architectural training, qualifying top of her class with a distinction, enabling her to register as an Architect.
Throughout her years at Boon Brown, Abi has developed her skills working closely with clients, bidding for new work, winning projects and presenting schemes and concept ideas to clients, stakeholders within the community and Local Planning Authorities. Abi is a dedicated team member, working well with other architects and technical staff, leading projects from inception through to completion and ensuring the initial project ‘vision’ is well executed.
Abi has experience working within many project sectors; however she predominantly works on mixed use, residential and education / community projects. Abi has an excellent understanding of the planning system and always undergoes a full site appraisal prior to the start of a new design. Gaining a full understanding the site, its constraints and the client brief, Abi is able to present a variety of design ideas to her clients, enabling them to explore different options from the outset.
Abi has worked on projects such as the award winning The Sanctuary in London, Brewery Square in Dorchester, the redevelopment of the Sherborne Preparatory School and the build of a new Community Hall in Westfield estate, Yeovil.
Abi is very proactive by nature and is always striving to find new ways to improve company processes and deliver the best possible service to our clients. She loves meeting and working with new people and endeavours to exceed her client’s brief through inventive architecture that is creative and context driven. Abi’s persistent drive for company improvement combined with dedication and care for her clients, resulted in her being promoted to an Associate in 2018.
