North Leaze Farm, North Cadbury
Following a Class Q prior approval application Boon Brown successfully gained consent for the redevelopment of a large agricultural barn to three residential dwellings. The principle of development was successfully argued along with the loss of the agricultural barns utilising the potential fall-back position under permitted development. By establishing the principle of development in this way an alternative scheme was then proposed for three alternative dwellings designed without the constraints of having to be conversions.
Despite the principle of development being established there were a number of technical issues to address including highways and drainage. Appropriate technical advice was gained and through discussions with officers solutions were found.
