A Chartered Town Planner with 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, Matt has a successful track record of dealing with a broad range of complex planning applications and related issues.
After graduating with a Master’s degree in Town Planning, Matt spent the first nine years of his career gaining invaluable experience in a number of positions within local government across South West England. Having obtained this fundamental understanding of the workings of the planning system, his subsequent role as Regional Planning Manager for a national house builder provided Matt with an astute awareness of the commercial needs of the development industry.
Since joining Boon Brown in 2008, Matt has continued to advise a broad range of clients on the development potential of their land, and to deliver planning permissions accordingly for viable developments. Matt is particularly experienced in dealing with major residential schemes, the negotiation of planning obligations and appeal work – particularly as an expert witness.
Having hung up his football boots, Matt is a keen trail runner and can often be found running the hills and coastal paths of the West Country in his spare time.
